Stefania satelles Señaris, Ayarzagüena, and Gorzula, 1997 "1996", Publ. Asoc. Amigos Doñana, 7: 33. Holotype: MHNLS 10433, by original designation. Type locality: "Aprada-tepui I, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela. (05° 24′ N - 62° 27′ W). 2.500 m s.n.m."

Known from two tepuis in the Venezuelan Guyana (Angasima-tepui and Upuigma-tepui), Estado Bolívar, Venezuela, 2000-2500 m elevation. See comment.

Conserv., 10(1: Special Section): 5– 12, who noted that populations of of nominal Stefania satelles from Angasima-tepui, Upuigma-tepui, and Murisipán-tepui, Venezuela, represent unnamed species.
