Gastrotheca lateonota Duellman and Trueb, 1988, J. Herpetol., 22: 162. Holotype: KU 181730, by original designation. Type locality: "El Tambo, 31.5 km (by road) east of Canchaque, 2770 m (5° 22′ S, 79° 33′ W), Cordillera de Huancabamba, Departamento de Piura, Peru".

English Names

El Tambo Marsupial Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 53).

Distribution

Known from the type locality in cloud forest on the Pacific slopes of the Cordillera de Huancabamba, Peru, and from Chillacoche and 17.6 km southeast of Chillacoche, Provincia de El Oro, Ecuador.

Comment

In the Gastrotheca marsupiata group, but very similar to Gastrotheca monticola in the Gastrotheca plumbea group according to the original publication. Yánez-Muñoz, Sánchez-L., López-Hervas, Rea-S., Meza-Ramos, Oyagata-C., and Guerrero, 2014, Avanc. Cienc. Ingen., Quito, Secc.
