Gastrotheca aratia Duellman, Barley, and Venegas, 2014, Zootaxa, 3768: 170. Holotype: KU 212067, by original designation. Type locality: "8 km (by road) NW of Cutervo, 6° 14' 00" S, 78° 51' 24" W, 2560 m, Provincia Cutervo, Departamento Cajamarca, Peru".
