Comment

Closely related to Limnonectes macrodon according to the original publication. Reilly, Stubbs, Karin, Bi, Arida, Iskandar, and McGuire, 2019, J. Biogeograph., 46: 757–769, discussed biogeography and presented molecular evidence that five evolutionary species exist within this nominal species and that one of these, on Lombok (containing the type locality), is more closely related to Limnonectes dammermani than to other populations of nominal Limnonectes kadarsai. Kennedi, Kusrini, Mardiastuti, and Ariefiandy, 2021, Media Konservasi , 26: 217–230, reported the species on Flores I., Indonesia.
