Barrio-Amorós, Santos, and Molina, 2010, Phyllomedusa, 9: 20, suggested that Mannophryne larandina is a likely synonym of Mannophryne yustiziRojas-Runjaic, Matta-Pereira, and La Marca, 2018, Zootaxa, 4461: 451–476, distinguished the species and refined the range. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph.
