Colostethus fallax Rivero, 1991, Caribb. J. Sci., 27: 12. Holotype: USNM 282670, by original designation. Type locality: "3 km W Pilaló, on Quevedo—Latacunga Rd., 1760 m, Provincia Cotopaxi", Ecuador.

Distribution

Known only from the region of the type locality on the western slope of the Andes (Cotopaxi, Ecuador), between 1760-2430 m, in cloud forest.
