Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus discoidalis group, most similar to Eleutherodactylus cruralis, according to the original publication. Heinicke, Duellman, and Hedges, 2007, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, 104: 10092-10097, removed this species from nominal Eleutherodactylus but did not provide a new generic name. See account by Padial, Chaparro, and De la Riva, 2008, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 152: 764.-765. See map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Eleutherodactylus zongoensis) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph.
