Eleutherodactylus rosadoi Flores, 1988, J. Herpetol., 22: 34. Holotype: MCZ 92937, by original designation. Type locality: "Río San Miguel, circa 1 km above Río Capayas, Provincia Esmeraldas, Ecuador (latitude 0°45′N, longitude 78°54′W)".

In the Eleutherodactylus crucifer assembly of the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group, according to the original publication. See account by Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 129-130, who place it in the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group. In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) ridens species series of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 114.
