Pristimantis munozi Rojas-Runjaic, Delgado C., and Guayasamin, 2014, Zootaxa, 3780: 38. Holotype. MZUTI 1782, by original designation. Type locality: "Reserva Verdecocha, Province of Pichincha, Ecuador (0° 5′ 46.9″ S, 78° 36′ 15.3″ W; elevation 2851 m)".
