Pristimantis espedeus Fouquet, Martinez, Courtois, Dewynter, Pineau, Gaucher, Blanc, Marty, and Kok, 2013, Zootaxa, 3750: 572. Holotype. IPG R121, by original designation. Type locality: "Montagne Grande Tortue, (4.30901, -52.357163; 370 m elevation), municipality of Régina, French Guiana".

Distribution

The nine known populations are located in the Réserve Naturelle des Nouragues, the Réserve Naturelle de la Trinité, the Réserve Biologique Lucifer Dékou- Dékou (Mont Lucifer), Mont Itoupé, Montagne Kotika, Monts Atachi-Bacca, Monts Belvédère, Pic Coudreau and Montagne Grande Tortue, all in French Guiana; into Amapa, Brazilpossibly extending into the Nassau Mountains of Suriname.

Comment

In the non-monophyletic Pristimantis unistrigatus group according to the original publication. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127. Taucce, Costa-Campos, Carvalho, and Michalski, 2022, Eur. J. Taxon., 836: 96–130, reported on distribution, literature, and conservation status for Amapá, Brazil.
