Type locality: "Hacienda 'El Tambo' of the Fundación Proselva, corregimiento 20 de Julio, Municipio El Tambo, Departamento del Cauca, Colombia, 1470-1580 m".

Comment

Most closely related to Eleutherodactylus diaphonus and Eleutherodactylus albericoi according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
