Comment

Synonymy and discussion in Inger, 1954, Fieldiana, Zool., 33: 350-354. In Platymantis dorsalis group of Alcala and Brown, 1999, Philipp. J. Sci., 128: 283. See Ross and Lazell, 1990, Philipp. J. Sci., 119: 260, for report of material from Dinagat Island. Gaulke, 2011, Herpetofauna Panay Island: 60-61, provided a brief account for Panay Island, Philippines. See brief account by Sanguila, Cobb, Siler, Diesmos, Alcala, and Brown, 2016, ZooKeys, 624: 18–19. Pitogo, Saavedra, and Afuang, 2021, Philipp. J. Sci., 150: 1279–1306, provided a brief description of natural history and suggested that the Mindanao population is a distinct species.
