Cordillera de la Costa, including La Sierra in Cojedas state, and Sierra de Aroa in Yaracuy state, Venezuela, 100-700 m elevation.

In the Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni group, according to Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1991, Lozania, 57: 1-30. Señaris and Ayarzagüena, 2005, Rev. Taxonom. Fam.
