Bufo atelopoides Lynch and Ruiz-Carranza, 1981, Lozania, 33: 4. Holotype: ICN 06373, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada Sopladero, Parque Nacional Natural de Munchique, road from Uribe to La Gallera (ca. Km. 54), western slope on the Cordillera Occidental, Departamento del Cauca, Colombia; 2190 m alt."

Distribution

Known only from the type locality on the western slope of the Cordillera Occidental (Parque Nacional Munchique, Cauca, Colombia, 2190 m elevation).

Comment

Possibly a member of the Bufo margaritifer group, according to the original publication, but transferred to Andinophryne by Hoogmoed, 1985, Zool. Meded., Leiden, 59: 263. Subsequently transferred to Rhaebo by Ron, Mueses-Cisneros, Gutiérrez-Cárdenas, Rojas-Rivera, Lynch, Rocha, and Galarza, 2015, Zootaxa, 3947: 354, who provided an account.
