Nectophrynoides asperginis Poynton, Howell, Clarke, and Lovett, 1999 "1998", Afr. J. Herpetol., 47: 61. Holotype: BMNH 1998.136, by original designation. Type locality: "Kihansi River Gorge upper falls spray wetland, Udzungwa Mountains, Tanzania, ± 8° 35′ S 35° 51′ E, 940 m elevation".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Kihansi Gorge in the Udzungwa Mountains, Tanzania.
