Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 166: 24. Type locality: "Don Diego (S[an]ta. Marta Region), Colombia"; same publication on page 119 given as "heights east of San Miguel, 6,000–7,000 ft.", which Kluge, 1983, Misc. Publ. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 166: 24, regarded as the collection locality of the holotype.

Distribution

Cloud forests on the northern flank of the Sierra Santa Marta region of the Departamento Magdalena, northern Colombia, between 1500 and 1800 m.
