Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Sierra del Cobre, Santiago de Cuba, where it is expected to be found throughout above 800 m elevation.

In the Eleutherodactylus auriculatus species group and confused with Eleutherodactylus glamyrus prior to its naming according to the original publication.
