Eleutherodactylus versicolor Lynch, 1979, Misc. Publ. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 66: 45. Holotype: KU 119858, by original designation. Type locality: "'15 km E Loja, 2800 m' (=13.5 km E Loja, 2800 m), a locality just east of the crest on the mountain range dividing Loja and Zamora-Chinchipe provinces, Ecuador".

Distribution

Intermediate elevations (2750–3100 m) in the Andes of southern Ecuador (Loja and Zamora-Chinchipe provinces); extending to lower elevations (665–1750 m) in northern Peru (Amazonas Province on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera del Condor and upper Río Comainas).
