Distribution

Valley of the Río Papallacta on the eastern face of the Andes in Napo Province, Ecuador, and Putumayo, Colombia, 1800 to 2630 m.

In the Eleutherodactylus crucifer assembly of the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group, according to the original publication. Mueses-Cisneros, 2005, Caldasia, 27: 235, provided records for Putumayo, Colombia. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128.
