Type locality: "Páramo de Los Conejos at the intersection of Quebrada Las Gonzales with the trail Manzano Alto—Las Gonzales, 2.5 hours on foot from the water pipe line known as 'Las Canalejas', Serranía del Norte, Estado Mérida, Venezuela".
