Hylodes affinis Werner, 1899, Verh. Zool. Bot. Ges. Wien, 49: 478. Syntypes: ZFMK (2 specimens; originally in ZIUG); ZFMK 67 designated lectotype by Cochran and Goin, 1970, Bull. U.S. Natl. Mus., 288: 414; both syntypes (and lectotype) now lost, according to Böhme and Bischoff, 1984, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 19: 167, and  Böhme, 2014, Mertensiella, 21: 86, who explained that the ZFMK 67 number is erroneous even as the specimen is lost. Type locality: "La Union—[to] Chingasa, 1500-2400 m", and Cundinamarca, Colombia. According to Böhme and Bischoff, 1984, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 19: 167, the locality data associated with the syntypes were "Bogotà" and "La Unión", Colombia.

Not assignable to any current species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
