Several localities within Mérida state in high elevation cloud forest on the road from Mérida to La Azulita, Venezuela, 793–2400 m elevation.

World: 235. La Marca and Otero-López, 2012, Herpetotropicos, Mérida, 7: 55-74, rediagnosed the species and provided an account.
