Distribution

Western slopes of the Nahuelbuta Range, Bio Bio Region, and Tregualemu, extreme southwestern Maule Region, Chile.

In the Alsodes monticola group of Formas and Vera, 1983, Copeia, 1983: 1104-1107. Brieva and Formas, 2004, Amphibia-Reptilia, 25: 151–164, reported on larval morphology.
