General vicinity of Cerro Yapacana at around 100 m elevation in Amazonas state, southern Venezuela, and Mamirauá and Rio Tea, Amazonas, and Alter do Chão, Pará, Brazil; presumably to be found in adjacent Colombia. Reported from the lowlands of eastern Peru but without a specific locality (see comment).

Maciel and Hoogmoed, 2011, Zootaxa, 2984: 33-34, provided a detail account and spot map. Aguilar, Ramirez, Siu-Ting, Suarez, and Torres, 2010, Rev. Peruana Biol., 17: 19, suggested that the species is found in Amazonian Peru but did not provide a specific locality. Fraga, Santos, Souza, Kawashita-Ribeiro, Ribeiro, and Maciel, 2018, Phyllomedusa, 17: 289–293, provided a record for Pará, Brazil, and discussed its natural history.
