Epicrionops petersi petersi Taylor, 1968, Caecilians of the World: 224. Holotype: JAP 7099, by original designation (presumably now in USNM). Type locality: "Agua Rica between Limón and Gualaceo, Morona-Santiago Province, Ecuador".

Epicrionops petersi noblei Taylor, 1968, Caecilians of the World: 219. Holotype: AMNH 1454, by original designation. Type locality: "Juliaca, southern Perú . . . [quoting Dunn, 1942, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 91: 459-460]. . . Dr. Harvey Bassler has suggested that the specimen so labeled, sent by a member of the Inca Mining Co., came from the vicinity of the mine at Santo Domingo, north of the shipping station of Juliaca, and at about 3000 feet above sea level."

Distribution

Amazonian slopes in Ecuador into southern Colombia (Cauca) ; Amazonia of central and southern Peru, possibly into Bolivia.
