Type locality: "Etwa 6 km nördlich von Marmaris, ein westlich der Strasse Marmaris—Izmire gelegener Hang", southwestern Anatolia, Turkey. Corrected to "8 km north of Marmaris", Turkey by Veith, Baran, Godmann, Kiefer, Öz, and Tunç, 2001, Zool. Middle East, 22: 69.
