Thorius macdougalli Taylor, 1949, Am. Mus. Novit., 1437: 8. Holotype: AMNH 52136, by original designation. Type locality: "Cerro de Humo, Maquiltianguis, Oaxaca, Mexico".

Known from pine-oak woodland at the type locality (Maquiltianguis, Cerro de Humo) and 19.3 km north of Ixtlán de Juárez, Sierra de Juarez, Oaxaca, Mexico, 2300-3000 m elevation.


Redescribed by Hanken and Wake, 1994, Copeia, 1994: 586. Highton, 2000, in Bruce et al., Biol.
