Pseudoeurycea ahuitzotl Adler, 1996, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 177: 5. Holotype: KU 182509, by original designation. Type locality: "9.4 km (by road) NE of Puerto del Gallo (an abandoned lumber camp), Guerrero, Mexico, at an elevation of 3296 m on the southern slope of Cerro Teotepec (17° 28′ N, 100° 08′ W)".

Distribution

Open pine-fir forest in the region of the type locality, Cerro Teotepec, Guerrero, Mexico, 3296 m elevation.

Comment

Raffaëlli, 2007, Les Urodèles du Monde: 213, included this species in the Pseudoeurycea gadovii group. Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 277, provided a brief account, photograph, and map.
