Bolitoglossa terrestris Taylor, 1941, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 27: 115. Holotype: EHT-HMS 23354, by original designation; now FMNH 100121 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 37. Type locality: "about six miles south of Tianguistengo, Hidalgo, Mexico, at an elevation of about 5,000 feet".
