Bolitoglossa chondrostega Taylor, 1941, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 27: 113. Holotype: EHT-HMS 17304, by original designation; now FMNH 100076 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 36. Type locality: "Durango, Hidalgo, 5,000 to 6,000 feet elevation", Mexico.

Distribution

Northwestern Hidalgo and adjacent Queretaro, Mexico, in cloud forest, 1524–2042 m elevation; also reported in the state of México in the municipality of Santiago Tianguistenco.
