Bolitoglossa walkeri Brame and Wake, 1972, Contrib. Sci. Nat. Hist. Mus. Los Angeles Co., 219: 18. Holotype: UMMZ 128833, by original designation. Type locality: "Television Tower Mountain 15 km WNW Cali and 0.9 km S El Jordan, Departamento del Valle, Colombia . . . . in cloud forest at an elevation of 2050 m (6724 ft)".

Cloud forests from the Departamento Antioquia (Frontino Municipality) south to Departamento Cauca (Munchique) and into the Departamento Nariño (Barbacoas) on the western slope of the Cordillera Occidental, Colombia, 1250 to 2610 m elevation.
