Distribution

Volcan Zontehuitz and surroundings northeast of San Cristobal de Las Casas on the Meseta Central of Chiapas, Mexico, and the Guatemalan Plateau from the Tecpan Ridge west acoross the Cumbre María Tecún to the Volcán Tajumulco region, San Marcos. eastern part of the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes in the area of Uspantán, possibly in intervening areas, 2400–3300 m elevation.
