Bolitoglossa riletti Holman, 1964, Herpetologica, 20: 49. Holotype: UIMNH 52761, by original designation. Type locality: "3.5 miles south of Putla de Guerrero, Oaxaca, Mexico".

Known only from the vicinity of Putla, Oaxaca, Mexico, 700–1030 m elevation.
