Type locality: "near La Soledad, on road to Torre de Guatel, 2650 m, Depto. Jalapa, Guatemala (14.530146° N, 90.142417° W)".

Miramundo Highlands, in the Departamento Jalapa, Guatemala, in montane hardwood forest at elevations of 2360-2660 m.
