Pseudohynobius jinfo Wei, Xiong, and Zeng, 2009, Zootaxa, 2149: 63. Holotype: CIB 85290, by original designation. Type locality: "a spring pond (28° 50′ N, 107° 20′ E), 2150 m, nearby the Phoenix-Temple in montane region of Mt. Jinfo, Nanchuan County, Chongqing Municipality, Southwestern China".

English Names

Jinfo Salamander (Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 57). 

Distribution

Mount Jinfo and Mount Bama, Chongqing Municipality, Nanchuan County, Chongqing, China, ca. 2150 m elevation.

Comment

Regarded as a population of Pseudohynobius flavomaculatus prior to its naming. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 57, provided an account, photographs, and map for China. Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 82 , provided a brief account, photo, and map. Fei and Ye, 2016, Amph. China, 1: 219–217, provided an account, photographs, and range map but did not includ the Mount Bama record in the distribution.
