Telmatobius simonsi Parker, 1940, Trans. Linn. Soc. London, Ser. 3, 1: 210. Holotype: BMNH 1902.5.29.103, by original designation, now renumbered 1947.2.14.93 according to museum records. Type locality: "Sucré [sic], [Departamento Chuquisaca,] Bolivia (2800 m)".

Distribution

Interandean valleys of the departments of Cochabamba, Chuquisaca, and Santa Cruz, Bolivia, 1000-2800 m elevation.

De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 50, noted that as currently conceived the species is a composite.
