Syntypes: BMNH 1910.3.18.73-79; BMNH 1910.3.18.77 designated lectotype by Gerlach and Willi, 2002, Amphibia-Reptilia, 23: 448. Type locality: "Mahé: Morne Pilot, 2700 ft." and "Silhouette: highest jungle", Seychelles. Restricted to "Silhouette: highest jungle", Seychelles, by lectotype designation.
