Type locality: "Totoiya-Thaul ca. 500 m.,, Bona-Thaul ca. 500 m., , and Boelawa-Gebirge ca. 1200 m.", Celebes, Indonesia.

Comment

Not assigned to subgenus by Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 77. Wanger, Motzke, Saleh, and Iskandar, 2011, Salamandra, 47: 17–29, reported the species from central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Putri, Fahri, and Annawaty, 2018, Nat. Sci., J. Sci. Tech., Sulawesi, 7: 50–56, reported on the species' distribution in central Sulawesi, its natural history, and conservation status. Karin, Krone, Frederick, Hamidy, Laksono, Amini, Arida, Arifin, Bach, Bos, Jennings, Riyanto, Scarpetta, Stubbs, and McGuire, 2023, PeerJ, 11(e15766): 1–19, reported on elevational range in northern Sulawesi.
