Distribution

Gaoligong Shan and Hengduanshan mountains, Yunnan, China, 1350-1600 m elevation; in adjacent northern Vietnam (Lai Chau Province); presumably in adjacent northeastern Myanmar.

Comment

Closely related to Philautus gracilipes and Philautus rhododiscus (now Theloderma rhododiscus), according to the original publication. Not addressed by Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 71-73.
