Distribution

Known only from two localities in Sri Lankan wet forest: Hanthana Range, Kandy (510-800 m elevation), and Tonacombe Estate, Namunukula (1240 m elevation).

The sister taxon of Pseudophilautus cavirostris (as Philautus) according to the original publication.
