Northern Knuckles Range, 450–1220 m elevation, in central Sri Lanka.

Resembles Pseudophilautus zimmeri (as Philautus), according to the original publication. Considered a likely synonym of Pseudophilautus silus by Ellepola, Herath, Manamendra-Arachchi, Wijayathilaka, Senevirathne, Pethiyagoda, and Meegaskumbura, 2021, PLoS One, 16(10: e0258594): 10, but did not take the taxonomic remedy.
