Philautus umbra Dring, 1987, Amphibia-Reptilia, 8: 43. Holotype: BMNH 1978.1806, by original designation. Type locality: "pinnacles camp, 1200 m., Gunung Api, Gunung Mulu N. P., Fourth Division, Sarawak", Malaysia, Borneo.

Distribution

Known only from elevations of 900-1300 m on Gunung Api in northern Sarawak, Malaysia (Borneo); possibly to be found in adjacent Brunei.
