Comment

Removed from the synonymy of Rhacophorus buergeri by Inger, 1954, Fieldiana, Zool., 33: 385; by implication, and Inger, 1966, Fieldiana, Zool., 52: 304 (who also provided an account as Rhacophorus hosei), where it had been placed by Wolf, 1936, Bull. Raffles Mus., 12: 170. See identification table by Manthey and Grossmann, 1997, Amph. Rept. Südostasiens: 122–123, to compare this species to other rhacophorids of the Sunda Shelf region. See statement of geographic range, habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 634. Dehling and Das, 2020, Raffles Bull. Zool., 68: 319–325, discussed the status of Polypedates chlorophthalmus and placed it in synonymy.
