Philautus abditus Inger, Orlov, and Darevsky, 1999, Fieldiana, Zool., N.S., 92: 26. Holotype: FMNH 252833, by original designation. Type locality: "Buon Luoi, An Khe District [now K Bang District], Vietnam".

Distribution

Tay-Nguyen Plateau, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, and Quang Ngai Provinces, highlands of central Vietnam, 600 to 1200 m elevation, along forested streams; reported from Veunsai District, Ratanakiri Province, extreme northeastern Cambodia; expected in adjacent Laos.

In the Philautus vermiculatus group according to the original publication. Orlov, Murphy, Ananjeva, Ryabov, and Ho, 2002, Russ. J. Herpetol., 9: 93, provided the statement of range in Vietnam.
