Comment

Removed from the synonymy of Kurixalus appendiculatus by Matsui, Kawahara, Eto, Hamidy, Ahmad, and Hossman, 2018, Alytes, 36: 170, where it had been placed by Smith, 1930, Bull. Raffles Mus., 3: 113. See comment under Kurixalus appendiculatus. Mediyansyah, Hamidy, Munir, and Matsui, 2019, Treubia, 46: 59, provided genetically-confirmed records from Indonesia (Borneo and Sumatra) and from East (Sabah and Sarawak) and West Malaysia. Niyomwan, Srisom, and Pawangkhanant, 2019, Field Guide Amph. Thailand: 404–405, provided a brief account (description, photographs, habitat, and range) for Thailand (in Thai). Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 57, suggested that Kurixalus phyllopygus (currently a junior synonym of Kurixalus appendiculatus) may be a senior synonym. Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 348–350, summarized the knowledge of habitat, reproduction, larval morphology and coloration.
