Comment

Most similar to Chirixalus eiffingeri and Chirixalus idiootocus (now Kurixalus) according to the original publication. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 32, provided specific localities for Vietnam (as Chirixalus ananjevae). Yu, Zhang, and Yang, 2013, Biochem. Syst. Ecol., 47: 31-37, noted that Kurixalus ananjevae lacks the morphological synapomorphies of Kurixalus and presumably does not fit within that genus.
