Comment

In the Rana longicrus group, formerly confused with Rana longicrus, according to the original publication. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 308, provided an account, photographs, and a range map for China. Shen, 2014, Fauna Hunan, Amph.: 205–207, provided a detailed account for Hunan, China. The specimens reported as Rana longicrus from Xianliang Town, Qingyuan County, Zhejiang Province, China, reported by Zhao, Zhu, Gao, Wang, and Wu, 2023, Chinese J. Zool., 58: 607–614, presumably are of this species or another member of the Rana longicrus group, given that Rana longicrus is restricted to Taiwan.
