Hylarana guttmani Brown, 2015, Herpetologica, 71: 226. Holotype: PNM 9790, by original designaiton. Type locality: "Philippines, southern Mindanao Island, South Cotobato Province (, 2 km north of border with Sarangani Province; . . .), Municipality of Kiamba, Barangay Badtasan, Sitio Banate, Mt. Busa, 1200 m asl (6.0923°N, 124.6709°E; datum 5 WGS84)". 

Pulchrana guttmani — Here (vers. 6.0, Aug. 23, 2015). Transfer to Pulchrana due to the description being made unaware of the revision and partition of Hylarana by Oliver, Prendini, Kraus, and Raxworthy, 2015, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 90: 176–192. 

Hylarana guttmani — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 538, by implication. 

English Names

Distribution

High elevations (above 1400 m) in the Mount Parker–Mount Busa-Kamba region of southern Mindanao, Philippines.

Comment

Confused with Hylarana grandocula, and in the Hylarana signata complex (now Pulchrana signata complex) prior to its description according to the original publication. Pitogo and Saavedra, 2021, Herpetol. Notes, 14: 163–167, reported the species (first collection in 28 years) from the northern slope of the Busa Mountain Range, Mindanao, Philippines.
