Odorrana yentuensis Tran, Orlov, and Nguyen, 2008, Russ. J. Herpetol., 15: 213. Holotype: ZISP 8637, by original designation. Type locality: "the Tam Kham, Thanh Son, Son Dong district, Bac Giang Province, northeast Vietnam (Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve), 21°12′N 106° 45′ E, altitude 500 m a.s.l. (cascade stream)".

English Names

Yen Tu Odorous Frog (Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 51). 

Distribution

High-gradient streams in granitic canyons in the Yen Tu mountain range at low elevation (300-500 m), Bac Giang Province, northeastern Vietnam; reported from Dashan Forest Park, Guangxi, China.

Comment

Most similar to to Odorrana melansma, Odorrana absita, Odorrana trankieni, Odorrana gigatympana, and Odorrana khalam, according to the original publication. Hecht, Pham, Nguyen, Nguyen, Bonkowski, and Ziegler, 2013, Biodiversity J., 4: 507–552, reported a record from Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve, Bac Giang Province, northeastern Vietnam and discussed the range. The Guangxi, China, record was from Lu, Lv, Wang, and Wang, 2016, Chinese J. Wildlife, 37: 390–394.
