Distribution

Mount Guangwu, Nanjiang County, northeastern Sichuan, China, 1650 m elevation; also reported in northwestern Hubei.

Fei, 1999, Atlas Amph. China: 190-191, provided a brief account, map, and figure. Fei and Ye, 2001, Color Handbook Amph. Sichuan: 200, provided a brief account and illustration (as Odorrana kuangwuensis). Ye and Fei, 2001, Acta Zool. Sinica, 47: 528-534, suggested that this is the sister species of Odorrana wuchuanensis and placed this together in their Odorrana kuangwuensis group.
